Food Sensitivity and Intolerance Testing A true allergy is the body's hypersensitive reaction to an intrinsically common, harmless antigen, some of which are environmental (i.e. pollen, house dust mite, etc). Food is very frequently the cause of a sensitivity. There are also possible reactions to food additives, such as the 'E' numbers that are added to foods and drinks. Symptoms may include: - Migraines or frequent headaches
- Joint conditions
- Urticaria or Eczema
- Rhinitis and/or Sinusitis
- Conjunctivitis etc.
- Digestive problems
- Weight and Energy problems
The normal body develops a natural immunity to allergens, but in some individuals the immune system may be overly sensitive to certain food substances, leading to a build up of toxins. The accumulating toxins then build up and put stress on the immune system which eventually can lead to poor health. Through our measurements it is possible to identify whether or not a patient responds favourably to a medicine, food or substance by placing the product in a circuit with the acupoint meridians. The body can often be desensitised and along with an exclusion diet for approximately 6 - 8 weeks it is often possible that intolerances and sensitive symptoms disappear. A medical history and current conditions are discussed to help access and locate the problem. The practitioner will conduct the testing using a state-of-the-art Mora-Work Station (Bio-Resonance). Julie Button is the resident Allergist and will offer diet & lifestyle information and discuss any supplements that might be beneficial. Your first consultation will need to be 1 ½ hours.
